Indian Army is going to conduct Army Recruitment Rally at RCTC Ground, Barrackpore (West Bengal) for the below listed districts of West Bengal. The recruitment will be for following categories – Soldier Technical, Soldier Technical (Aviation/Ammu.), Soldier Nursing Assistant, Soldier NAVET, Soldier General Duty, Soldier Clerk/Storekeeper and Soldier Tradesman. Recruitment Rally and Rally’s date also includes Son of Serviceman/ Ex-Servicemen, Son of Widow/ War widow, Outstanding Sportsperson. Relaxable in Height, Weight and Chest will be as per norms for these categories of candidates.

Name of the Post/Categories with required minimum Educational Qualification:
1. Soldier Technical
Qualification: 10+2 in Science (with Physics, Chemistry, Maths and English) with minimum 45% marks
OR Class 10 pass with minimum 50% marks if 03yrs Diploma in Engineering course is done.
2. Soldier Technical (Aviation/ Ammu.)
Qualification: 10+2/Intermediate in Science (with Physics, Chemistry, Maths and English) with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 40% marks in each subject.
OR 03 years Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical/ Electrical/ Automobile/ Computer Science/ Mechanical Engineering and Electronic & Instrumentation Engineering)
3. Soldier Nursing Assistant and Soldier Nursing Assistant (Veterinary)
Qualification: Class 12 pass with 40% marks in compulsory subjects, viz. – Physics, Chemistry, English & Biology AND 50% marks in aggregate in class 12. In case of candidates having done B.Sc Degree (Botany/Zoology/ Bio Science) and English (simple pass) then said percentage of marks in Class 12 is not required.
4. Soldier (General Duty)
Qualification: Minimum class 10 pass with 45% marks and 33% marks in each subject
OR Class 12 pass (simple pass)
5. Soldier General Duty (ST)
Qualification: Minimum 8th pass.
6. Soldier Clerk (SKT)
Qualification: Class 12 pass with 50% marks in aggregate and 45% marks in each subject. Candidates should have studied English and Maths/Accts/ Book Keeping in Class 10 or Class 12 and should have secured minimum 40% in each of these subjects, whether it was studied in Class X or Class XII.
If a candidate is graduate (any discipline) with Maths/ Accounts/ Book Keeping and English (even elective) as one of the subjects, then the above said percentage of marks in Class 10 or Class 12 is not required.
7. Soldier Tradesman
Qualification: Minimum class 8th pass.
8. Soldier Tradesman (Mess Keeper & House Keeper)
Qualification: Class 8th pass or higher qualification.
Physical Standards:
For Soldier Tradesman: Height—169cms (162 for ST), Weight—Min 48kgs; Chest (unexpanded/expanded)—76/81.
For Rest of all Categories: Height—169cms (162 for ST), Weight—Min 50kgs (48Kgs for ST); Chest (unexpanded/expanded)—77/82.
Relaxation in Height & Weight is applicable for Scheduled Tribe. See officially released advertisement for more details.
Age Limits:
For Soldier General Duty: Not born before 26 May 1994 and not born after 26 Nov 1997
For rest of all Categories: Not born before 26 May 1992 and not born after 26 Nov 1997
Physical Fitness Test (PFT)
(i) 1.6 Km Run
(ii) Pull Ups for minimum 06 minuts
(iii) Zig Zag Balance
(iv) 9 Feet Long Jump
Eligible candidates from the above said districts of West Bengal may appear for the Recruitment Rally on scheduled dates, as mentioned above, along with Original and two xerox copies of each documents in support, viz. – Residential Certificate, Character Certificate, Qualification Certificates and any other documents as applicable.

There is no Application Form. Eligible candidates may directly appear for the Rally on scheduled date. Registration will begin from 5 AM to 7 AM on dates scheduled, as mentioned above according to district wise.

Army plans multiple recruitment rallies in Assam and Meghalaya

SHILLONG, June 30: Headquarter Recruiting Zone (North East States) and its Army Recruiting Offices are once again recruiting eligible youth from the seven North Eastern States into the Indian Army. In the months of July and August 2014, four recruitment rallies are planned. The rallies will be held at Dibrugarh, Assam from July 4 to 14, 2014 for Jorhat, Tinsukhia, Sibsagar, Dhemaji, North Lakhimpur, Dibrugarh, Golaghat and Karbi Anglong districts of Upper Assam; at Masimpur, Assam from July 21 to 28, 2014, for Cachar, Karimgang, Hailakandi and North Cachar Hills districts of Assam and Tripura.
The third recruitment rally will be held at Nalbari, Assam from August 4 to 13, 2014 for Darrang, Nalbari, Goalpara, Dhubri, Kokrajhar, Bongaigaon and Kamrup Metropolitan districts of Lower Assam. The fourth rally will be held at Shillong, Meghalaya from August 22 to 31, 2014. Assistance will be provided at all Army Recruitment offices namely - Shillong 0364-2506581, Silchar 0362-260978, Jorhat 0376-2333136 and Narangi 0361-2640134.

Headquarter Recruiting Zone (North East States) and its Army Recruiting Offices have engaged the state governments of the seven north east states to improve the numbers being recruited, especially in the technical categories, train candidates and give incentives for commissioning of officers in the Indian Army. Detailed coordination is being carried out with the states and district administrations to ensure smooth conduct of these rallies with minimum or no disturbance to the local population. Candidates are advised to prepare for the rallies physically and especially for the written exams. All written exams are objective type with 25 percent negative marking, so passing the written exams has become more difficult. A large number of vacancies in the Soldier Technical, Clerks, Havildar Education and Junior Commissioned Officer Religious Teachers are not filled as candidates do not pass the written exam. Two recruitment rallies have already been held at Aizawl for Mizoram in April 2014 and at Leimakhong for Manipur and Nagaland in May 2014.
Recruitment in the Indian Army is free, open and transparent. There are no applications required. No MONEY is required to be paid for any forms or participation. Recruitment process is fully computerized with multiple levels of independent external supervision. Written exams are conducted on bar coded Optical Mark Reader sheets with total secrecy of candidates and no one can influence the results. Anyone who claims that he can get anyone recruited is making a false claim as every candidate will get recruited on his own effort and merit.
